As a lifelong athlete, I have an extensive history of sports injuries. These first-hand experiences, with the struggle of recovery and accompanying frustrations, set me on a journey to gain a deep understanding of health and wellness and how to help others through this process.
My massage training is based in orthopedic massage; a multidisciplinary approach that uses a variety of massage techniques designed to be the most effective fit for the particular injury. I also specialize in sports and pre-natal massage, injury management, and lymphatic drainage.
In addition to studying massage therapy, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Northern Arizona University. My education and experiences have taught me that life rarely affords the luxury of dropping everything to make a treatment plan our number one priority. There are so many other concerns competing for our time and attention. My unique background in health education equips me to go beyond massage therapy and work with patients in developing a plan of action based on their unique needs that conform to their lifestyle. My greatest desire for my patients is that they achieve wellness – not simply as a goal, but as a lifestyle.
